Home in an off grid Tiny House Village

This is an invitation for those that aspire, to design their own home and living environment with green technology, minimal footprint and regenerative land principals, all in beautiful surrounds and a cooperative environment.

Each of the 12 private ownership households join the village by purchasing a freehold equal share in the Village Company. Each shareholder will be able to choose their site in the order they joined the Village. Privately owned residence will also belong to the Body Corporate that governs the management of the Village as a whole. We will also aim to have up to 4 rental sites to provide homes for possible future long term residents.

Each Tiny Home is privately owned and may be built on site, purchased as part of the previous sale or brought on site as your new or existing Tiny Home. We do require each that Tiny Home has either a building permit in place to be built or a code of compliance upon arrival, as this will simplify our process with the Resource Consent and Insurance.

A privately owned site will be around 250m2 with the rentals around 170m2, with a generous native ring bordering our property and greenways meandering along the paths connecting our various locations. Your own site will be yours to design and landscape as you wish with decks, gardens and sheds and have direct access to the ring road.

Once we are established intending future residence will be able to consider the ‘right fit’ via the Village guidelines as set out in the Body Corporate Rules. This will be a legal document to allow for the preferences of the collective to be known before site purchase goes ahead. And ensures we are all on the same page to create a space that we can all enjoy. And of course, by spending time at the village and meeting and talking with residence. Once you are seriously considering residency, you will be given a household to connect with to consider deeper the rightness for you and how it could all work.

We will be creating a two tiered membership that enables people to be a part of the village either as a rental resident or an intending resident. And a full member - which will be all the adults living on their privately owned site in the village. Early full members will share the cost of setting up the village and be repaid equally any money we have over budgeted for as we fill our 12 sites.

Those that create the Village will shape its collective soul, however those that live in it will give it life. Our procedures and processes will be set in place before we move into the village, but will refine as needed to streamline our time together
